The dimming is nothing new to NOAA or IPCC. Our elected officials and systemic greed have paralyzed any meaningful response to climate destruction. As my friend says, some day we will run out of fossil fuels and hamburgers and those left will be living in hell. People will then say, “that was pretty stupid,” and blame it on their parents’ generation. In the meantime, enjoy flying, being owned by oligarchs and eating hamburgers. By the way, your ending gave you away as a doomer.
