Great article. Many species, for example the white-tailed deer in the northeastern U.S. that no longer have natural predators overpopulate residential areas where they once roamed, as well as their natural habitat. Hunting is a more humane alternative than the alternative fate of wasting and starving to death in diseased and overcrowded deer yards in the deep woods during our brutal winters. Sadly, younger hunters are not replacing older generations of hunters who pass away, leaving a deer herd management problem.
