Excellent summary and proposals. You left out one insurmountable reason: All of us, on varying levels, are willing to trade climate destruction for our standard of living. How many people are willing to eliminate meat from their diets, for example? Trade the car for a bike? Vote green candidates only? Not many. This is why geo engineering is inevitable. It will be a dangerous and feeble attempt to correct our lack of discipline.
