Deep thinking, questions, and great illustrations too. After more than a half-century of introspection, I tend to think that happiness is likely to be a both/ and question, instead of an either /or proposition with one factor. We are such complex and diverse creatures living in myriad universes of internal and external factors. Maybe the point is regardless of an individual’s inherent factors, as humans we can strive for personal expectations, habits, and resilience that are more likely to bring happiness, despite the constellation of factors we cannot control?
